The place

A setting for your story.

A Greek Revival mansion on Harding Pike with lawns that keep going and trees older than anything else in the frame. Receptions usually land in the carriage house and stable, all exposed timber and warm light.

From the filmmaker's side, Belle Meade is about distances. We map the day to the property so the timeline breathes.

Spring puts the old trees in full canopy and keeps the lawns green deep into June; October light out here goes low and golden by late afternoon and flatters every wide frame. Summer works too. We just schedule the lawn portraits for the day's kindest hour and let the shade trees carry the rest.

From behind the camera

  1. Big property. The planning call six weeks out maps walking time into the timeline
  2. The mansion columns frame the classic wide ceremony shot from dead center
  3. Carriage-house receptions glow warm. We expose for faces, not the bulbs
  4. Open lawn means sun position matters; portraits go in the lowest, kindest light
  5. Open air swallows sound. Vows and toasts each get their own mics, with a backup recorder always rolling
  6. We share the timeline document with your photographer, so the property's distances never cost either team golden hour

From morning to night

Let the day unfold.

  1. The morning

We arrive early enough to walk the property before it fills. Establishing frames of the mansion and the long lawns open the film while the day is still quiet.

  2. The ceremony

One camera stays dead-center for the classic columns frame; a second works long-lens from the side for faces, yours and the front rows'.

  3. Golden hour

The lawns earn their reputation in the last hour of sun. We walk you out under the old trees while the light is lowest and kindest.

  4. The night

The carriage house glows warm after dark, toasts off a clean feed, dancing exposed for faces, and we stay through the send-off.
