The short answer
What is an engagement film?
A short film of the two of you before the wedding, filmed fly-on-the-wall somewhere beautiful at the right light, with no stiff posing. One filmmaker is enough, a stationary camera backs up the moments that matter, and because your footage is never deleted, it can be woven into your wedding film later.
Real films
Start with the feeling.
Beshoy and Jermana’s engagement film is the beginning. The wedding films beside it show where that same approach leads.
Sara & Bishoy, after their engagement session
The little things. The real emotions.
“he really, really does look for that fine detail, which is so important”
“it's very important not just to get the right clip, but like the right emotions with the clip”“he was very patient, very, very patient.”
Stress-free from start to finish.
Learn to forget the camera.
Photos are a 3-2-1 smile. Video rolls continuously. Which is exactly why it feels intimidating the first time.
- The low-stakes take: walking, laughing, interrupting each other
- By the wedding day, the camera is old news
- “We forgot you were even there.”
Relive it for years.
Footage that carries forward.
Your raw footage is never deleted. The weddings we filmed nine years ago are still on our drives.
- Engagement footage re-used in your wedding film later
- Your story doesn’t restart on the wedding day
- Chapter one, already in the can
Story-first.
A preview of the whole experience.
An engagement film runs the entire I Do Films process in miniature.
- A planning chat first. We never just go and film
- Fly-on-the-wall filmmaker, story-first edit, delivered in about six weeks
- By the wedding day, you already know how we work

Before we talk
A few things you might wonder.
01Is one filmmaker enough for an engagement film?
Yes. Even when couples offer to add more, Bebo tells them on calls: “For an engagement, I’m very confident we’ll capture everything we need with one filmmaker.” Nine years in, one filmmaker moves fast, and a stationary camera backs up the moments that matter.
02Can our engagement footage end up in our wedding film?
Yes, that’s one of our favorite things to do. Your raw footage is never deleted, so when you go on to your wedding film, we can weave the engagement footage in.
03We’re awkward on camera. Will this feel like a photoshoot?
It’ll feel like a walk. We work fly-on-the-wall: no stiff posing routine, no “hold that.” We point you somewhere beautiful at the right light and film you two being yourselves. This is where camera-shy couples stop being camera-shy; couples tell us afterward, “we forgot you were even there.”
04When should we film it?
Whenever it serves your story. There’s no fixed window. On the planning chat we look at your timeline, the season, and how you want to use the film: share it with your guests, keep it just for you two, or both. We never just go and film. We pick the moment together.
05Does an engagement film help with the wedding investment?
Your story carries forward. We keep your footage, so it can become part of your wedding film. If you have a Golden Ticket, mention it when we talk. And you’ll already know exactly how we work before the big day.
