The short answer

How do you film a surprise proposal?

We plan it with you on a brainstorming call, scout hidden positions and set up before anyone arrives. The day before, Bebo hands you a hidden mic and walks the plan once more, with a plan B and C for weather and timing. You get a 60 to 90 second teaser and the highlight film.

More proposals

Different plans. The same butterflies.

Three steps

Plan it once. Feel it forever.

  1. 01

    The brainstorming call

“We never just go and film.” Every proposal starts with a planning session: the spot, the light, the route you’ll walk, where everyone hides, what happens right after the yes. We take the time to brainstorm together until there’s a solid plan.

  2. 02

    The day before

Bebo meets you in person, hands off the hidden mic, and walks the run-of-show one more time, golden-hour timing, a plan B if the weather turns, a plan C if plan B does. You bring the ring. The logistics are ours.

  3. 03

    The moment

We’re in position before anyone arrives. Multiple angles, clean audio, drone overhead for the big reveal when the location calls for it. You ask the question. We get it the first time because there is no second take.

The whole moment

The question. The yes. Everything between.

Brainstorming session
The plan, the spot, the timing, built together before anything is filmed.
Day-before walkthrough
Bebo meets you, hands off the hidden mic, and rehearses the run-of-show with you.
Filmed unseen
Multiple angles from positions scouted in advance. Nobody clocks the cameras.
Drone for the big reveal
When the location allows it, the moment gets an aerial angle too.
60–90 second teaser
Made for the announcement: the group chat, the feed, the family thread.
The highlight film
The whole moment, start to finish, with the audio of what you actually said.

Before we talk

A few things you might wonder.

01

Will they know you're there?

No, that's the whole craft. We scout positions on the brainstorming call, we're set up before anyone arrives, and we film from where we can't be noticed. We disappear when we need to. Couples tell us “we forgot you were even there” at weddings, where they know we're coming. At a proposal, only one of you does.
02

How does the hidden mic work?

Bebo meets you the day before, hands you a hidden mic, and walks the plan one more time. All you do before stepping out of the car is hit the red button. The shaky breath, the question, the yes, every word, recorded clean.
03

What if the weather turns or the timing slips?

That's what the planning is for. We never just go and film. We build a plan B and a plan C with you: backup spot, backup light, backup timing. If the day moves, the plan moves with it.
04

What films do we get?

A 60–90 second teaser made for sharing, and the highlight film of the whole moment. Some couples keep the highlight private (what you said is personal) and share only the teaser. Want every second? Ask about the documentary edit: the full proposal, in real time, letting the moment breathe.
05

How fast do we see the film?

About six weeks on average, capped in writing at under three months, and films are all we do, full-time. Announcing at an engagement party? Tell us the date on the call and we'll plan the edit around it.
06

Does the proposal count toward our wedding film?

Proposals are how many of our wedding couples start with us. We keep the footage, so the story can carry into your wedding film. If you have a Golden Ticket, mention it when we talk.
